Well here I am with my first post on this blog. Before I start sharing our new home projects I wanted to share a project that I had a lot of fun with, my son's nursery. Yes he's almost 2 now but hey better late than never, right? ;)

Well for his room I didn't want to go to a baby store and buy matching bedding, mobile, etc. I wanted to get creative and do things myself. So i begin doing what anybody would do... pinning everything that inspired me. I had a black and white color scheme with pops of colors and the woodland creatures animals theme in mind. I remember even making this little color board for inspiration.

I had a lot of fun through out my pregnancy shopping for affordable pieces for this room. Of course I wanted the pottery barn or west elm glider but my budget wouldn't allow that. So after many nights spent searching on the internet I found this glider that I loved and at a price I could afford.  Same with the crib and that was the starting point.

In the end I'm happy to tell you that it was my favorite room in our whole apartment. It was bright, cheery and I think most important functional. Hello Ikea cart that helped keep all things baby at the tip of my fingers.
